Our Story

Chef Steven Waxman came to Ambler in April 1997 to open a restaurant in the old Ambler train station. After 6 months of renovation, he was proud to open the doors to his new restaurant. The goal was to develop a unique style of fresh flavors with an original take on classic cuisine. Steve has also played a large part developing the Ambler Farmer’s Market, located in Trax’s lot adjacent to the restaurant. He’s also earned a certification as a Great Kitchen by the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness.

Chef Dewdney Reynolds joined Chef Waxman as his Chef de Cuisine in 2009 and has influenced the menu with his Jamaican roots as well as his vast culinary experience. He joined the restaurant after 20+ years at the Jefferson House and Blue Sky restaurants. Steve’s vision, along with Dewdney’s influence, has allowed Trax to become a sought-out location for regular nights out as well as special occasions.

Trax Café is available for private parties at the restaurant, as well as at your home or company office. We can provide companies in the area theme meetings or buffets, and several catering options for special events or parties. We’ve catered showers, rehearsal dinners, birthdays anniversaries, weddings and other events.
