Trax Restaurant and Cafe is proud to host the Ambler Farmers’ Market. Opening day this year for the market is Saturday, May 7th. Trax will host the Trax Restaurant Outdoor Cafe during market hours and sources the ingredients for the Cafe directly from the purveyors at market.

Our Story

Chef Steve came to Ambler in April 1997 to open a restaurant in the old Ambler train station. After 6 months of renovation, Steve was proud to open the doors to his new restaurant. The goal was to develop a unique style of fresh flavors with an original take on classic cuisine. Steve has also played a large part development of the Ambler Farmer’s Market (in Trax’s lot adjacent to restaurant) and has earned a certification as a Great Kitchen by the Nation Foundation for Celiac Awareness.

Chef Dewdney Reynolds joined Chef Waxman as his Chef de Cuisine in 2009, and has influenced the menu with his Jamaican roots as well as his vast culinary experience. He joined the restaurant after 20+ years at the Jefferson House and Blue Sky restaurants. Steve’s vision along with Dewdney’s influence has allowed Trax to become a sought-out location for regular nights out as well as special occasions.
