In the Spring of 1998, the old Train Station in downtown Ambler once again re-opened it's doors, this time as Trax Restaurant and Cafe. Owner, and Executive Chef, Steve Waxman, converted the old train station into a warm, cozy and friendly restaurant with the goal of preparing a menu that would satisfy the most discriminating palette, his own.

The transformation process from train station to exemplary restaurant has taken years to brew and perfect not to mention the extreme dedication and commitment to excellence. Waxman's pursuit of perfection is what drove him to define and realize his notion of fine American cuisine.

First time visitors to Trax will delight in a menu graced by classic American entrees like Barbequed Baby Back Ribs with spicy Texas Slaw and Grilled Pork Loin with Apple Sauce. One of the most popular items on the menu is the Pepper and Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb which Trax prepares to perfection.  The 10-ounce Grilled Filet Mignon with Demi Glace served with Roasted Porta bella Mushroom is also a house favorite.

Waxman exercises his culinary skills preparing such Trax specials as Pan Seared Crusted Maine Salmon and Veal Chops grilled to perfection. We'll soon be adding a new section to site that will archive all of Chef Waxman's specials.
